Vitals Logbook is designed with your privacy as the top priority. All your health data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to external servers.

This Privacy Policy explains how Vitals Logbook ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have control over your personal health data.

Information We Collect

Health Data You Enter

Vitals Logbook allows you to log the following health information:

  • Blood pressure measurements (systolic and diastolic)
  • Heart rate
  • Blood glucose levels
  • Body weight
  • Body temperature
  • Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2)
  • Custom vital measurements you define
  • Medication information
  • Notes and context tags

Profile Information

You may optionally provide:

  • Display name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Blood group
  • Genotype
  • Profile photo

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect any personal identifiers
  • We do not track your location
  • We do not access your contacts
  • We do not use analytics or tracking
  • We do not collect usage data

How Your Data is Stored

All data you enter in Vitals Logbook is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your health information never leaves your iPhone.

This means:

  • We cannot access your data
  • Your data cannot be hacked from our servers (we have none)
  • If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed
  • Your data is protected by your device's security features

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with anyone. The only way your health data can leave your device is if you choose to share it by:

  • Generating a PDF report and sharing it via iOS Share Sheet
  • Backing up your device to iCloud (controlled by your iOS settings)

We have no third-party integrations, no analytics services, and no advertising partners.

Your Rights

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

  • Access: All your data is visible within the app at any time
  • Export: Generate PDF reports to export your data
  • Delete: Delete individual entries or uninstall the app to remove all data
  • Portability: Use the PDF export feature to take your data elsewhere

Security

Your health data is protected by:

  • Your device's passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID
  • Apple's iOS security architecture
  • On-device encryption provided by iOS

We recommend keeping your device software updated and using a strong passcode to maximize security.

Children's Privacy

Vitals Logbook is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The app may be used by parents or guardians to track a child's health data, but this is done at the discretion of the adult user.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
